It\u2019s good for kids to live close to their parents.\u2019 People want those they love to always be around them. Generally, people want their beloved kids to live closer rather than farther away from them. Today\u2019s passage says that God the Father was with Jesus. There is a clear reason behind this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God the Father sent his Son Jesus into the world. Jesus was sent and therefore came to the world. He did not come on his own. He did not say, \u2018I will go. I want to go to the world. Please send me.\u2019 He did not come to the world according to his will and plan. God says to Prophet Isaiah, \u201cWhom shall I send? And who will go for us?\u201d. Isaiah answers, \u201cHere I am. Send me!\u201d (Isaiah 6:8) God wanted to send Prophet Isaiah. He was sent by God. Same applies to Moses. It wasn\u2019t according to Moses\u2019 thought, but God sent him to Egypt. Same goes with us. God chose and called us and saved us. Our Lord sent us to the world. We live as Christians because we were sent by the Lord. We didn\u2019t say on our own, \u2018I will go to the world. Please send me.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus was with the Father. God the Father did not leave his Son to be alone. Most parents don\u2019t abandon their children after giving birth to them. They embrace and nurture them because their children are very dear and precious to them. Jesus is a very dear and precious Son of God. Therefore, the Father was with his Son. And we are God\u2019s dear children, saved through the blood of Jesus, the dear Son. Therefore, God the Father is with us. Wherever we are, God watches over us like the apple of His eye.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>God the Father was always with Jesus. Jesus was with the Father from eternity. The Father was also with Jesus when he was born, during his ministry, when he was crucified, when he resurrected, and when he ascended to heaven. Jesus did not do his ministry alone. When he preached the Word, healed the sick, and performed miracles, God was with him. Jesus the Son co-ministered with God. God the Father was with Jesus and fulfilled his will. Jesus is with us in our ministry. We don\u2019t do ministry on our own. Our Lord is with us. The Lord gives us a heart and a calling fit for ministry. He gives us all the grace and strength for the work of the Lord. Our ministry is one that is done with the Lord. The Lord is with us and will fulfill his will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus always did what pleased the Father. Therefore, God was with him. Jesus did not live to please himself. He did not do things that he liked, enjoyed, or wanted. People typically do what pleases them. But Jesus only did what pleases the Father. That is, he lived in obedience. Jesus obeyed the Father\u2019s words. He only lived according to the Father\u2019s words and will. There was no <em>my<\/em> desire and <em>my <\/em>will in Jesus\u2019 life. He did not live for his own pleasure. His goal was to please the Father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We must also follow the example of Jesus. We must do what pleases Jesus. That is, we ought to obey Jesus\u2019 words and live according to his teachings. And we ought to resist doing things to fulfill our own will, in pursuit of our own pleasure. Coming down to the world from heaven was not a joyful thing for Jesus. Nor was dying on the cross. It was the most excruciating and painful thing. However, he bore the cross to please the Father. Jesus loved and pleased only God and lived to fulfill His will. And it was manifested through obedience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We must remember that to please the Lord, we must obey. We must please Jesus, who died on the cross to save us and give us joy. What pleases Jesus is our obedience.
