Therefore, people work. Students study at school and employees work at companies. People achieve their goals and wishes by working. God who created all things also works. God does the work of creation, providence, and salvation. As living people work, God who lives eternally also works even now. God who governs all people works through and for people. Today\u2019s passage is about a blind man in whose life God displayed his work.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus came as Christ, the Son of God. Jesus did his ministry of deliverance according to his calling. Healing is part of his ministry. Jesus healed many sick and those with disabilities. He had the power to heal all diseases and disabilities. Jesus heals people\u2019s sicknesses of the flesh, sicknesses of the heart and mentality, and spiritual sicknesses. Jesus even heals the sickness of sin. Jesus cleansed sins through the blood of the cross. Therefore, Jesus raises the sinners, who are destined to die. He is the Lord of all. He is the Savior of all. He governs all people\u2019s destiny. He knows the way of everyone. Our lives are also under the power of the Lord. We are not the lord of our lives. Our lives are determined by the Lord. People, no matter who they are, cannot live their lives as they please. The life of the blind man in today\u2019s passage is also in the Lord\u2019s hands. Jesus is the Lord of his life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus met the blind man while doing his ministry of deliverance. The man was blind since birth. Now there is congenital disability and acquired disability. There are people who were born without any disability but become disabled due to accidents or diseases. There is intellectual disability and physical disability. Blindness is a physical disability. Disability brings about physical and mental weakness. Disability brings about great hardship. It accompanies the pain of not only themselves but their family and people around them. Disabilities that are difficult to overcome conceive discouragement and despair. Jesus healed those with disabilities and sicknesses. He heals everyone\u2019s diseases. The Lord heals through the power of the Savior.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All things have causes. Why did something happen? Jesus\u2019 disciples ask him, \u201cRabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?\u201d The disciples thought the man was born blind due to his sin. People generally think of their past sins when something goes wrong, when a problem arises, or when something bad happens to family and children. They think, \u201cWhat sin have I committed?\u201d When a woman\u2019s child died from an accident, she first thought, \u201cWhat sin have I committed?\u201d God sometimes makes people remember their sins through certain events and leads them away from sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now not all misfortunes or problems are due to sin. Job in the Old Testament was a righteous and blameless man. However, Job went through a huge misfortune and hardship. God tested the sincerity of Job\u2019s faith. David was persecuted by King Saul not because of his sin. It was because King Saul was jealous of David. However, there are things that happen due to sin. The misfortune of Adam\u2019s death was because of sin. God destroyed people with flood because of sin. Achan and his whole family died because of sin. Therefore, people sometimes say, \u201cIt\u2019s because of my sin, I\u2019m the sinner.\u201d But Jesus says that the man\u2019s blindness is not because of sin. Jesus was not crucified because of his sin. God achieved the ministry of forgiveness and deliverance through the cross. Jesus\u2019 crucifixion displayed the work of God.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus explains why the man was born blind. Jesus says that it is to display the works of God in his life. God had a plan for the blind man. To accomplish his plans, God made the man blind. Joseph from the Old Testament was sold by his brothers and imprisoned though innocent because God had a plan for his life. God had a plan to make Joseph a ruler of Egypt. God had a plan to fulfill what he had told Abraham, for the Israelites to stay in Egypt for 400 years. God had promised Abraham that the Israelites would come out of Egypt after 400 years and receive the land of Canaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God works even in our lives today. God has a will and plan for each of us and each of our lives. God works in our lives to accomplish his will in the Lord Jesus. The Lord works in our life of faith, in the life of the beloved children of God, and the life of the Christians who are saved. God of love, power and goodness fulfills his will in our lives.
