They choose what seems most beneficial for them. People do not prefer loss or disadvantage. Most people prefer high paying jobs over low paying ones. People like reputational schools and good items. Now there are many benefits people get in life. And there are benefits they get through faith. Today\u2019s passage shows the ministry of Jesus, who healed the blind and the blind man\u2019s faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Christ the Son of God, Jesus preaches the kingdom of God. Jesus did not do his ministry just by speech. He confirmed his word and that he is Christ the Savior through power and miracles. We must also prove that we are true Christians with words and actions. We do not earn trust with words without action. The way to prove that we are true people of faith is through action. Jesus proved that he is Christ the Lord through words and actions. So we must also follow his example and prove that we are Christians who received salvation through action. This is the life of obedience to the word of the Lord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jesus healed sicknesses in many different ways. He healed by his word, laying on of hands, touch of his garment, or holding hands. Jesus healed the blind man in today\u2019s passage by putting mud on his eyes. The Lord\u2019s work and answer take many different forms. He answers with his Word. He could also answer through hymns, dream, environment, other people, peace, or vision. He heals and answers through many different ways. He made some mud with his saliva and put it on the blind man\u2019s eyes. In other instances, Jesus healed the blind through his word, saying \u201cLet it be done as you have believed.\u201d We should remember that the Lord works in many different ways in our lives. The Lord chooses the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now Jesus told the blind man to \u201cwash in the Pool of Siloam.\u201d Jesus sent the blind man to the Pool of Siloam (which means \u201cSent\u201d) as the name meant. The blind man obeyed with faith in his word. And he came home seeing. He went to Siloam blind and came back with open eyes. It was the result of obedience. We must remember: Jesus\u2019 words are not human words. Jesus is Christ the Savior, the Son of God. Jesus\u2019 words make all things possible. There is the power of deliverance in the words of Jesus. Jesus\u2019 words are always fulfilled. His words have the power to heal. His power is shown when we obey with faith. Peter fished overnight but did not catch any. Then Jesus told him, \u201cPut out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch\u201d (Luke 5:4). Peter obeyed with faith. And he caught a large number of fish that the nets began to break.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To experience the power of the Lord in our lives, we must obey in faith. To live a life of God\u2019s power, we must believe and obey. Jesus\u2019 obedience of the cross brought about forgiveness of sins and the power of resurrection. Life without obedience in faith is one that is distant from the power of the Lord. Obedience in faith brings about salvation, healing, and power. Faith is accompanied by the word of the Lord, in whom we believe. The power of God&nbsp; is in the word of the Lord. It is when we obey his word that we receive his power. Obedience in faith guides us into the life in which the Lord\u2019s grace and power work, whereas unbelief and disobedience lead people to live by the power of themselves and the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People showed different responses when they saw the blind man who was healed. Some were doubtful that he was formerly blind. The blind man testified, \u201cI was blind before, but now I see.\u201d The blind man\u2019s destiny and life were turned around. People asked him how he was healed. And the man told them how he was able to see (v.11). He testified to the grace he received. He testified that the man people call Jesus made mud and put it on his eyes. And he went to the Pool of Siloam to wash as he was told and came home seeing. His testimony is an account of what had actually happened. We ought to speak the truth about the grace and answer we have received. Testimony is spreading the grace and deliverance of God and his answers and his work of power. So we must testify accurately based on the truth. We should not exaggerate or distort the truth. We must not deceive or mislead others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us obey with faith just like Jesus, who obeyed to death on the cross. And let us live by his grace, love, and power. The most powerful, beneficial, and blessed life is in obedience with faith.
